Sizing guide

Find your size

Measure once, front and back. Five sizes, Weeny to XL, sized in millimetres.

Step 1Will they fit your dog?

Hunnyboots are shaped for the long, narrow hare foot. Type your dog's breed and we'll tell you how well they'll fit.

Or pick from the full list

Most dogs have either a round, compact cat paw or a long, narrow hare foot. Pick a breed to see which one yours has.

Step 2Measure in three steps

All you need is a ruler and a sleepy hound. We size in millimetres because it's the only way to be exact.

Wait till they're lying down

Don't try it standing. While your hound is stretched out, press gently on the knuckles so the foot lies flat against the ruler.

2

Nail to just past the big pad

Measure from the tip of the longest nail to just past the back of the big pad: the metacarpal pad on the front legs, the metatarsal pad on the back.

Do the front and the back

Back feet are often smaller. Hunny measured 90 mm in front and 75 mm behind, so she wore a different size on each.

Why it works

A snug fit, like a sneaker

Sighthounds walk on their toes, so the boot is shorter than the flattened foot. Measured right, the heel sits in the boot's inner curve and the strap lands between the natural widening and the dew claw.

Step 3Choose your size

Use the flattened-foot length, nail to pad.

On a size limit?

On or over a size limit, go up a size. 78 mm is Medium; 82 mm is Large.

Only have an inch ruler?

Pick what your ruler reads and we'll convert it for you.
